Greg’s Professional Barber and Beauty Salon Inc. need your help as we prepare to celebrate 31 years in the beauty industry by participating in the 5th Annual Beauty Industry Hair Show Gala! This Gala will be held, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Daphne Civic Center, in Daphne, Alabama. We are inviting all Professional Barber and Beauty Salons, Barber Shops, Schools, Students, and Distributors, to join us at this event. (Cosmetology or Barber).

Q & A
What will it cost me to participate in the Hair Show Gala?
There is a fee of $200.00 for each individual stylist and booth rental. $200.00 as
Salon. Entry fees are NONREFUNDABLE).
How much time will I have to present my models and Products?
There will be at 7 minutes time limit (including set-up) for your presentation, you can use as many models as you choose.
Will I receive any tickets for my entry fee?
Each participating individual stylist, booth rental or salon will receive 4 complimentary tickets.
When is your deadline for the entry fee?
Entry fee deadline is October 15, 2011.
Do I need to have proof of my updated license?
Yes, Professional Barber/Cosmetology License and Students required (No Exceptions).
When will I need to show this proof of license?
Please send a copy of your license with your fees to be eligible to participate.
What time does the event begin? And what time do participants need to arrive?
Showtime is 6:00 p.m., all participants are asked to be present BY 4:30 p.m.
Do you plan any meeting for participants prior to event?
Yes, there will be 2 meetings prior to event. At least 1 member from your salon is required to attend at least 1 show meeting prior to the actual hair show. 1st meeting, October 3, 2011, at 10:00a.m. Location Greg’s Prof B & B Salon, 1917 Duval Street Mobile, AL 36606. 2nd meeting will be at Daphne Civic Center. Daphne, Alabama. Notice of time will be set at 1st meeting.
Is this an adult-only affair? Are there dress codes or standards for models? Is there any censorship to certain types of music?
No, this is a family-oriented event. Please no vulgar/explicit types of music.
How many people can I bring to help prepare for the show?
Only the model and the salon owners are allowed in the preparation area at all times, (before and during show). Back stage passes, for identity purpose will be issued.
What do I need to bring with me? Is there a time frame to get ready?
All models must have their clothes, styles, and make –up applied prior to the start of the show. This is to eliminate wasted time.
Are person in the show required to have to have tickets also?
Anyone who is not a model in the show, salon owner or stylist MUST have a ticket. No Exceptions.
How will I know my turn to go onstage?
Salon owners, stylist etc. will be given a schedule or itinerary of their turn to perfume in the order expected upon arrival at 4:30pm the day of event. You will be given the number of backstage passes (worn around neck) required. All of this and more… will be in your package that comes with entry fee.

Greg's Professional Judge Rules
Contestants will be judged on:

Originality

Creativity

Presentation

Contestants will have Seven MInutes Only, to present their presentations.

Any images that do not represent the Beauty industry in a positve and professional fashion will be disqualified.

We will be judging three schools in this event.

The scoring should be given 25 points for each category. There should be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
-
Winners will be announced after the fashion presentation ends.
